Medical Gas Resources installs medical gas source equipment and pipeline components for hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, clinics, dental offices, laboratories and veterinary facilities throughout Southern California. We’ve handled new construction, tenant improvements, remodels and equipment replacements since 2002, and the same team stays on to maintain what we install.

What we install

  • Medical air plants – oil-less scroll, claw and rotary screw compressors with desiccant dryers, filtration, dew point and CO monitoring
  • Medical vacuum and WAGD systems – claw, lubricated vane and oil-less vane vacuum plants with receivers, controls and exhaust
  • Lab air and lab vacuum systems for research, university and clinical laboratories
  • Dental air and vacuum systems sized to the number of operatories
  • Cylinder and liquid manifolds, automatic changeover manifolds and emergency oxygen supply connections
  • Master, area and combination alarm panels
  • Zone valve boxes, source valves, check valves and pressure switches
  • Wall outlets and inlets in DISS, Chemetron, Ohmeda and Puritan Bennett styles
  • Lab gas equipment – Concoa switchover manifolds, regulators, gas cabinets and control panels

Our installation process

  1. Site review and system assessment. We review drawings, outlet counts, existing equipment and the mechanical room to understand demand and constraints.
  2. Equipment selection and sizing. We size source equipment for peak demand with redundancy, recommend compressor and vacuum technology, and package equipment to fit your space.
  3. Coordination. We work with your general contractor, mechanical and electrical trades, facilities team and the testing agency to keep the schedule on track and minimize downtime.
  4. Installation and startup. Equipment is set, connected and started up to manufacturer requirements, and alarms and controls are configured and tested.
  5. Verification readiness. We prepare the system for NFPA 99 verification by a qualified third-party verifier before it goes into patient use, and correct any findings.
  6. Handoff and maintenance. You get operating documentation and the option of a preventive maintenance plan so the system stays reliable and inspection-ready.

Equipment replacements with minimal downtime

Replacing an aging medical air or vacuum plant in an operating facility takes planning. We can provide temporary rental compressors and vacuum equipment so patient care continues while the new plant is installed.

Medical gas installation FAQs

Does a new medical gas system need to be verified before use?

Yes. NFPA 99 requires that new or modified medical gas systems be tested and verified by a qualified, independent verifier before they’re put into service. We coordinate with your verifier and correct any issues found.

Can you replace our medical air compressor without shutting down the facility?

In most cases, yes. We plan the changeover and can provide temporary rental equipment to keep medical air or vacuum available during the work.

Do you install dental air and vacuum systems?

Yes. We size and install dental air compressors and vacuum systems for single offices and multi-location dental groups.

What areas do you serve?

Orange County, Los Angeles County, San Diego County and Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
